This is the hill on which Jesus was said to have preached the Sermon on the Mount, perhaps the best-known part of which are the list of “blessed are’s” – the “Beatitudes”. A lovely chapel crowns the mount, surrounded by contemplative gardens with a spectacular view of the Sea of Galilee and of “Annunciation Country” – the Galilee backdrop for Jesus’ ministry.
